Nebulizer kits are the most important part of a nebulizer setup, and yet the least understood. The machine that delivers air to the medication cup is called the compressor. The part that you hold in your hand during breathing treatments is called the nebulizer or med-cup. Nebulizers come in two styles - disposable and long-term use, often called a jet nebulizer. Disposable nebulizers should be replaced every two weeks. Long-term use jet nebulizers such as the LC Sprint can be used up to six months.
